Miss Illinois send off as she departs to compete in the Miss America Competition

SPRINGFIELD, ILLINOIS……The public is invited to Abraham Lincoln Capital Airport’s main commercial passenger building Tuesday, December 10th to join us in sending off Miss Illinois, Ariel Beverly, as she departs to compete in the Miss America Competition at the Mohegan Sun Connecticut in Uncasville, Connecticut.

Miss Illinois will depart Abraham Lincoln Capital Airport shortly after 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 10th.  Well-wishers who desire to meet Miss Illinois, wish her good luck and see her off are asked to arrive at the airport shortly after 5:00 a.m.

Miss Illinois has a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts Education and has taught at Chatham Glenwood High School in Chatham.  During Ariel’s year of service, she will travel the state of Illinois promoting her social impact of initiative of #IncludeTheArts – Advocating for Arts Education.  She is also a Goodwill Ambassador for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, the official service platform of the Miss America Organization.
