Michael Meyer was appointed to the Springfield Airport Authority Board by Mayor James Langfelder in January 2016. He is a retired United States Air Force officer with over 34 years of military service. His last position was as the Wing Commander of the 183d Fighter Wing (ILANG) located at Abraham Lincoln Capital Airport. He was USAF rated Command Pilot and has flown over 4000 hours in USAF fighter aircraft throughout the United States and on numerous overseas deployments. He possesses an FAA commercial pilot’s license. He has also served for a number of years on the Executive Board of the Abraham Lincoln Council of the Boy Scouts of America. He graduated from Marquette University with a B.S.B.A degree and from Georgetown University Law School with a J.D. degree.

Please be aware that construction is in progress to make improvements to the Terminal Entrance, Roadways and Terminal Parking Lots to provide additional parking spaces for free public parking and to improve the traffic flow to and from the Terminal area.
