Pursuant to the Illinois Open Meetings Act, notice is hereby given that the Board of Commissioners of the Springfield Airport Authority will hold its regular monthly meetings in the SAA Knotts Board Room at the east end of the second floor in the Terminal Building at Abraham Lincoln Capital Airport, Springfield, Illinois at 5:00 p.m. on January 20, 2015, February 17, 2015, March 17, 2015, April 28, 2015*, May 19, 2015, June 16, 2015, July 21, 2015, August 18, 2015, September 15, 2015, October 20, 2015, November 17, 2015,  and December 15, 2015 unless noted otherwise.

Frank Vala - Airport Athority Chair

Frank J. Vala - Chair

Mr. Frank Vala was appointed to the Springfield Airport Authority Board of Commissioners by Sangamon County Chairman Andy Van Meter on September 11, 2002. Mr. Vala is a graduate of Eastern Illinois University and has served on numerous boards. He has served on the Board of Directors for the Springfield Chamber of Commerce, Springfield Urban League and the YMCA. Mr. Vala founded Community Care Systems in 1980 and Valco Awards & More, Inc., in 1982.

Herman G. Bodewes - Vice Chair

Herman G. Bodewes is one of the most senior attorneys at GWC&B, bringing more than 35 years of experience to his clients. He focuses his practices primarily in business law and planning, corporate representation of business and trade associations, financial institutions, governmental affairs, real estate, estate planning and probate law. For more than 30 years, he’s been a registered lobbyist in the State of Illinois representing numerous businesses.

Kari Selinger  - Airport Athority Commissioner

Kari Selinger - Commissioner

Kari Selinger was appointed to the Springfield Airport Authority Board in July, 2007. A native of the Springfield area, Kari attended school in California at El Camino Community College. After moving back to the Springfield area, she began working in the legislative arena as a lobbyist.  After working for over a decade in the legislative arena she then began working in real estate. Kari is a registered Broker/REALTOR® for Remax Professionals and works closely with several of the area's largest employers to provide assistance in relocating new employees and "Selling" Springfield.

An avid volunteer in her free time, Kari has tirelessly worked with the State Farm Classic in various capacities and served on the CAAR Community Service Committee to raise funds for Southwinds Park. Kari is a devoted family member and plays a few rounds of golf when possible.

Dianne Hardwick was appointed to the Springfield Airport Authority Board in 2013. .

Timothy S. Bramlet - Airport Athority Commissioner

Timothy S. Bramlet - Commissioner

Timothy S. Bramlet is principal in Timothy S. Bramlet Consulting, a governmental relations and lobbying firm he established in January 2006. Prior to that, he served for 12 years as president of the prestigious Taxpayers' Federation of Illinois, concentrating on Illinois public policy relating to state and local government finance. Previously, he was vice president of the Illinois Retail Merchant's Association and director of industrial relations for the Illinois Manufacturers' Association.

Eric Hansen - Airport Athority Commissioner

Rev. Dr. Eric Hansen - Commissioner

Rev. Dr. Eric A. Hansen has been the Senior Leader of iWorshipCenter in Springfield, Illinois for 15 years. During this time the fellowship has grown from 70 to over 1000 with 6 campuses. The television ministry of iWorshipCenter,, can been see three times a week on local cable channels as well as weekly on broadcast television (Fox 55). Eric is an Executive Commissioner of the Sangamon County Regional Planning Commission and a board member of Urbanized Area Human Services Transportation Plan Advisory Committee.

Eric and his wife Cheryl have been married for 26 years. Cheryl is also an ordained minister, as associate pastor at the church, an RN cancer nurse and a trained classical pianist. Together, they are the parents of one daughter, Rev. Hannah Jean Hansen, who is in ministry school in California.

Vince’s professional career began in St. Louis, Missouri over forty-five years ago as an Executive in Data Processing, first with Missouri Pacific Railroad and later with Falstaff Brewing Corporation.

His later became a consultant with Booz, Allen & Hamilton, Inc, headquartered in Chicago, Illinois.  Booz, Allen is an International consulting firm serving Fortune 500 companies around the globe.  Vince directed or consulted with clients on assignments that focused on the financial services area with banks, investment houses and credit card companies.  Employment with this company is what first brought Vince to Illinois.

Vince spent the next nine years in the public sector working for two governors and one president.  He entered state government in 1971 with Governor Richard Ogilvie.  He also served as a cabinet officer in the Thompson administration during Jim Thompson’s first two terms. Following this he worked in the Regan Administration as President of the Central Liquidity Facility, the national lending institution for credit unions like the Federal Reserve for banks in the United States.

Vince returned to the private sector in 1987 as the Vice President of Administration for U.S. Central Credit Union, a thirty billion dollar wholesale financial institution in Overland Park, Kansas that served for retail credit unions nationally.  From U.S. Central he became President and Chief Executive Officer of Missouri State Employees Credit Union and later served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Credit Union 1.

Upon retirement from the financial industry Vince became a licensed realtor in the State of Illinois.  He worked for five years in the industry first with Realty 100 and later with the Real Estate Group when the two firms merged.  He is now retired.

Mark C. Kinnaman - Airport Athority Treasurer

Mark C. Kinnaman - Treasurer

Mark Kinnaman was appointed to the Springfield Airport Authority Board in August of 2006. He is a Springfield native having attended both Lincoln Land Community College and Sangamon State. He was appointed to serve on the Selective Service board in March 2005, after serving as an ad-hoc member of several boards under the Governor and Secretary of State. He has an extensive background in project development, sales and marketing, management and training, as well as a strong background in computer skills.

R. Beverly Peters - Secretary

R. Beverly Peters was appointed to the Springfield Airport Authority Board in April 2008. Mrs. Peters is President of Peters Consulting and Management Group, Inc. and Vice President of HAP III, Inc., a management and strategic planning firm. Peters holds a Bachelor Degree from LeMoyne Owen College, Memphis, TN, Masters Degree from SIU-Carbondale, and is currently a doctoral student.

Mrs. Peters worked for over thirty five years for the State of Illinois. From 1991 until 2004, she worked at the Illinois Department of Transportation as a legislative liaison, Bureau Chief of Small Business Enterprises, and Deputy Director of Finance and Administration.

Mrs. Peters is President of the Springfield-Decatur Area Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., a 2006 graduate of the Springfield FBI Citizen's Academy, serves on the Executive Board of the NAACP, and is a member of the Frontiers International Springfield Club.

Mrs. Peters is a past recipient of the YWCA "Women of Excellence" award and the recipient of the "2009 Studs Terkel Humanities Service" award. Mrs. Peters holds the distinction of being named Chairperson of Springfield Mayor Timothy Davlin's 1908 Race Riot Commemoration Commission.

Mrs. Peters is married to Rev. Howard A. Peters III. They have two adult sons.

Mark Hanna, A.A.E. -Airport Athority Executive Director

Mark Hanna graduated from University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, N.D with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree, with majors in Airport Administration and Management. He later attained a Master of Business Administration degree from Quincy University in Quincy, IL. He was previously employed by the City of Quincy, IL as its Airport Director for nearly 9 years. He has served on the Board of Directors for the Illinois Public Airports Association and completed a term as its Chairman in 2003, and currently serves on its Executive Committee. Mark is an Accredited Airport Executive as granted by the American Association of Airport Executives and holds a private pilot certificate. In 2010 he retired from the Army National Guard with over twenty years of service, which included a number of mobilizations.

Roger Blickensderfer, A.A.E. - Director of Facilities & Maintenance

Roger Blickensderfer began his airport career with the Tulsa Airport Authority in 1981 . In 1990 he accepted the Executive Director position at the Tupelo Regional Airport in Tupelo, Mr. Blickensderfer, a native of Central Illinois accepted the Director of Operations and Maintenance position with the Springfield Airport Authority in January 2000 and subsequently transitioned to his current position.

Mr. Blickensderfer graduated from Parks College of St Louis University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Aeronautical Administration; He is an Accredited Member of the American Association of Airport Executives .

Tim Franke - Director of Operations & Public Safety

Timothy J. Franke is the Director of Operations and Public Safety for Abraham Lincoln Capital Airport in Springfield, IL. He has been employed with the Springfield Airport Authority for 30 years. He is a current board member of the Illinois Local Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board Unit #10. He has served on the board of directors for the Sangamon County Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 55, Illinois Police Association Midstate Division, Central Illinois Police Chiefs Association, and served with Springfield’s 183rd Illinois Air National Guard for seven years.

Michael Olinger - Director of Administration & Finance

Michael Olinger has served as the Director of Administration and Finance for the Springfield Airport Authority for the past 32 years. He graduated from Indiana State University with a degree in Accounting. He is a long-time Treasurer of the Wood Lake Homeowners Association and was a Trustee of Lincoln Library for nine years and a member of Sertoma International Civic Club for eleven years, including terms as President and Board Chairman. He is also the proud grandfather of eight adorable grandchildren.
